Column stock switch

I recently bought a column stalk switch from an org member because I only had one low beam working and one highbeam. I finally got around to installing it the other day. I plugged in the switch and both lows and highs worked. HOWEVER, there was a small pigtail that plugged into the old switch and there was no place to plug it in on the new one. I had no keys with me(my car is sitting at the shop and they have the keys) so I couldnt turn it on to see if it was for the turnsignals. Both of the item numbers matched (Niles 14506, if i remember right)So does anyone know what the small pigtail is for on the column switch? Is it the turnsignals? Sorry I have no pics....any help will be appreciated.

Oh btw I bought it from either D-sta or Da-max, i forget which one. Feel free to confirm or deny which "D" sold it to me
