I have never ever heard of a speed pump ever, and I know quite a bit about cars. I guarantee if you go to a Nissan dealer and ask for a new "speed pump", the parts guy will outright laugh at you.

anyway, the clutch pedal problem is caused by a lack of fluid in the lines. You either have a leak or a worn out clutch master or slave cylinder. First, check the clutch fluid level under the hood (small cylinder in the upper right corner).

Fixing this problem shouldnt cost you that much.

thanks for the information rosenken. I checked uder the hood and the clutch fluid thing was empty. i going to try to fill it up and see if thats the culprit behind the clutch problem.

You are going to have to bleed it also.

It sounds like the slave cylinder is bad. That happened on my first Maxima, and it less than $200 including labor to have replaced.

Oh, and bgcease, check your email...
