PRND21 Light Bulbs

I was just wondering how to get to the light bulbs under the PRND2l display on the automatic transmission shifter. I took the black plastic piece off that surrounds the shifter, but couldn't see anything... I even unscrewed the 4 bolts that hold the shifter assembly down but I couldn't pull it up. I'm stuck, can anybody help? Thanks a lot.

After you unscrew the 4 bolts just give it a good tug, and there is only 1 bulb.

I think the shifter is in the way of pulling it up. So you are saying that it doesn't require that you remove the shifter? Just unscrew those 4 bolts and pull up?

The square case that is around the shifter that has PRND21 in it can be pulled apart. There is a top piece and a bottom piece.

So I need to unscrew those 4 bolts and some top and bottom piece should just come apart by pulling? Is the top piece the thing that is held on by 4 little plastic tabs/slots?

Just unscrew the 4 screws and give it a tug. Bijan I know what you mean, I have red in mine and it does look sort of pinkish.
