What do you guys think of 350z rims?

What do you all think about the Track Model Z rims? The RAYS one, would that look nice on my Maxima?? I was considering these rims as an upgrade from my stock 17's.

Thanks

Did someone say Z rims??

Check this Z out... 2-piece Rayes, I guess, they didn't look like 3-pieces (yes, up close too).

Yeah it does. They are 18 X 8 in the front and 18 X 8.5 in the rear; If I decide to order them, Im going to get 4 Front rims so they match in size.

Just remember to get 235/40R18s all around, cause the 245/45R18s rub in the rear against the rear wheel well and bumper.
I had them on my car for a few days, and rubbed like crazy on a Tein drop, sold them to MaxxTuningUSA aka PJ for his Maxima. Look better on a 4th gen than a 5th gen.

Don't those rims also have a different offset?

What offset are the stock GLE 17's? 45mm?

The Z 18 inch RE rims are 32mm?

I know the Front 18's are..
225/45/18

Will they fit my car? Im not lowered.

How about 245/40/18 on a Tein drop? Will that rub?

they'll still rub....they are 30mm, not 32mm...I think the lowest offset to go is 35mm...

the rears will most definitely rub.

Oh, didn't know the offset. Anything under 35 will rub.

Oh, it's the offset that causes rubbing not the tire size?

Anything that will make the tire stick out more. Wheel width, offset, and tire width are all factors.

Actually I was thinking it was a little too inexpensive. I know they are expensive and I have priced them before. And they weight more than 13 pounds, young grasshoppa.

anything 245 will rub on a 2K+ on the rear. The front is fine.

PJ's car last weekend.

that looks good on the 4th gen.

I want the track wheels to clear my z brakes... they barely clear my GLE rims so i used .25 inch spacers.

Sweet, but I came to a conclusion when I did the 300ZX brakes on my 2k2. What a way to waste a bigger rotor designed for the 2k2. When I bought a 2K, that made somewhat better sense. Now I'm waiting to get my 13" brembo kit for my 2k2 and I just bought the AP 4 pot 12.5 (Precison) Kit from PCGuru for my 2K.

$425 a piece is extremely cheap for the 350z Rays track rims. My dealer just quoted me $800 a rim, and they said that was a bargain.

Stops nicely, but the APs are nicer. Maybe do what I am about to do, sell the 300ZX brakes and get ssbc brakes. I've heard good things about the 2 piston caliper set up. Not 4 pistons, but just as good when it comes to stopping a car.

Back on subject, those Ray's wheels are insanely expensive. Anything under $500/ wheel is a steal, but under $800, might as well get real TE37s in 19s.
