when i was there getting my y pipe installed, it seemed that nobody was ever in the office...they were busy working on the cars. they dont only do maximas, but they do exhuast work on everything...i saw a few classic domestics there on lifts getting work done. i doubt that place went out of business...looked like they were doing fine, and they always seem booked up.

They could be on vacation. Good people to deal with either way.

How long ago did you order the test pipe JMAXIMA? 18 dollars is a damn good price. I think I'll order one from them, seeing as I had very good service with Budget when I ordered my Y pipe and it came about 7 days later....

Any muffler shop can make one in no time flat. Anything over 25$ is expensive for a simple pipe section with two flanges!!

got mine today... two test pipes... and an S section eliminator for $40 shipped. and... it included more than number of required crush gaskets... and more than enough hardware... and two extra floating flanges. budget is awesome. can't wait to go to the track this weekend... hopefully with my new tires and bpipe/testpipe i'll drop a little time.

Do you think if I just went to meineke or some local muffler shop, they could make me a test pipe? Or would my best bet be go to budget, because it will be cheaper?

99.9% of the shops I know wouldn't - because it's illegal and could cost a bit in fines if they get caught installing it.

"some shops" will put on a "test pipe" if they "suspect" your cat is fowl and they want to "test" to make sure that your car doesn't have a "bad cat" however if they are caught doing so its a $25,000 FEDERAL FINE and the loss of license

SprintMax- Do you know the specs of the test pipe? ie: length, flange sizes? Considering I have a Budget y pipe that is 2.5 inches wide, should I get the test pipe 2.5 also?

Thanks,

-Nick

to be honest with you.. test pipes are a waste of time unless you have Nitrous, Turbo or Supercharger..

but you should be able to tell them its for a 95 maxima to replace the cat and they should be able to find out for themselves.. i am sure they sell cats..

or bring your car there and have them measure it..
