Not so Happy "TIMES"

Went to the track tonight with my recently Purchased 2003 Maxima SE (Auto). After reading many posts here in the 1/8 and 1/4 mile forum I was set and excited to lay down some times. Well needless to say I am not really all that happy with the times. 255HP and a 3200lb car should do better right???? I would really like some feedback as to others times with a 2003 or 2002 Auto max. Bone Stock all the way down to the filter absolutely no mods. Come on guys post some stock times. Here are my best to runs tonight.

1)

60' - 2.255
1/8 - 9.759
MPH - 73.30
1/4 - 15.118
MPH - 91.40

2)

60' - 2.259
1/8 - 9.735
MPH - 73.56
1/4 - 15.122
MPH - 91.03

Ta Ta for now !!

15.1 is not bad. 60ft times are great! Your traps seem low. That also could be elevation killing your traps or you don't use premium gas.

Always use premium gas. The only thing that I can say is I just bought the car and the air cleaner appears to be the original. Very dirty. Could this affect the car that much???

I was really hoping for a High 14 god even a 14.999999999999999

You could get a K&N filter for 50 bucks. Even if you don't need a new filter you should get the new K&N Filter anyway. It does help performance slightly w/o spending the money on INTAKE.

Speaking of intake I was looking at 2 different setups. The Cattman Cold Air Intake and the Weapon R Do you or anyone else reading this have any suggestions???

Intake is my next step and then it is off to the track again.

I don't know much about the intakes you listed but I have Injen Intake and it did wonders for my car. They might have a setup for yours too.

You mean 1,2,3 with an '03, right? No need for 4th on the 1/4. For the first few times at the track, I would suggest simply leaving it in 3.

Your times are pretty much on par with the times I've seen...

That's just about right I would say. How was the weather? Heat and humidity will have a big effect on ET and especially MPH. Go back in October when it's nice and cool out and see if you can't get some 14's. I went from extremely consistent 16.1's in 50* and no humidity to 16.4's in 80* and moderately humid weather in my Taurus.
