Good looking car now.
I hope that you can drive it five years or more so that you can get your money's worth out of the car.

Lol it's only got 135k miles so I'm sure it's still got lots of life left I suppose! ... I just did a big oil leak job, replaced almost anything around the engine. No more leaks now. Had the leak for 2.5 years..But I think now it just needs a little tune up. No cel or anything, I'm finished with the body.. I've done so Much, now I'm just putting money away for repairs and maintainece stuff.. So if anything breaks. I'll be able to keep it running, as that was my plan, no more body modification or anything with performance parts.. Completely stock, I just wanted to do a restoration and keep it running.

Looks nice! I plan on putting my max in the shop & have a gunmetal grey done to it. Going to keep my max for as long as it stays alive!

Go and do it, I fell in love with this car.. Looks new and not only that but in rare condition, u don't see them like this around much. I Would never get rid of this car.. Got to put money away for repairs if I want to keep it. That's all I'm going to do, just keep it rolling, planning to keep it for 5-10 years, if not maybe more, these engines are tanks..

oh and by the way, im using my old 96 rear bumper, and yes the 97 trunk fits perfectly, and the new latch works well..releasing the trunk works brand new now when i press the button from the inside as before I had to press it a couple of times for it to release... It looks really good still with the 96 rear bumper. can't even really tell.

Glad you're happy.

96 rear bumper is too short. 97+ is way better.

All that work and no fogs?

Ditch that silly sunroof deflector and those mudflaps and you're good to go. They kill the clean lines of the Max.

Yeah that's what I'm saying! Maintenance, new paint, rims, struts & springs, y-pipe & a little TLC and I'm set. Plan on driving my Maxima through college, then scoring a job & then maybe buy a weekend car but I'll always have the Max.

The bumper looks fine to me, the shop couldn't do anything with the 97 rear bumper I brought em, besides they gave me a discount that helped me out and saved me $ on labor.. And for fogs I would have to get the wiring and stuff for that and didn't even wanna bother with that. Maybe in the future i will, these would be the small things i would do overtime potentially..

I like the mudflaps and the sunroof cause they add more black to the car, helps my rims stand out more to give it a good black and white ratio. I could imagine if I took it off i would be lost on the black and white look.. It looks the way I like it for now, more of a luxury look

The fog wiring is already there. All you need is some fogs and the proper fog stalk for the column. Fogs and fog stalk is peanuts or can be had from the jy.

Your car looks just like mine! Lol.

I've had my car repainted 3...yes, 3 times, in 2 years. Once was a full body (I hated to paint over the factory pearl with Maaco White, but it was cheaper than spot painting with factory to match just the area's the needed reprinting).

It looks like you live in a warm climate so it may not be an issue...but after 30-90 days...after the paint has fully hardened, I'd suggest getting a cover craft front end mask from car bras.com. I just bought one, because I had 2 previous paint jobs ruined by rock chips.

Yeah I have no snow or anything like that, always warm.. And for the paint chips this isn't maaco paint, one of the high end shops painted my car, so I'm positive it won't chip off easily.. I suppose. And damn for painting your car 3 times in 2years, i would go nuts..only problem living in the cold climate is cars going to waste very easily and rust is a big factor out there..., i got warranty on the paint lifetime.. So I just kinda relax now. Not too worried about it

And for the fog lights if the wiring is there then I suppose I'll do them sometime. I found a big junkyard mall that is loaded with cars in my area, now I know where to go for parts.. This is gonna help me in the long run

My next thing to do is clean up the headlights a little, the passenger side headlight is a little yellow, not too bad but I think it's coming from the inside.. Then going to fix the little rip on the driver side seat, fix the rear seat headrests cracking on the top, otherwise the interior is brand new. Give it a little maintaence replacements like air filter and so for.. Not gonna bother with it too much as it runs pretty much new.

Very, very nice! Enjoy your ride. You've easily still got 150k left on your engine if you maintain it.

The rims I have look really good, 7 spoke spike, it really fits the style of the car. I don't plan to change out anything with body or rims for a while, I focused a lot on getting the body where I want it and got it where I want it, it looks amazing in the sun..the paint is gorgeous,.. I need to change my path a bit.. now I'm going to focus on maintaining it and potentially adding some fun performance stuff on it, but nothing too crazy no superchargers lol. Somewhere below $1000

And thank you all, I am enjoying this car every second. Where I am it's strange to see some people's reaction... Some people brake hard behind me on purpose you know but no tailgating..some get "seizures.." it kinda scared me..my rear view mirror is sometimes like watching a movie....it's strange ...some brake hard next to me and stay right next to the rear doors rather than my passenger front door lol.. Umm don't know how to describe it.. But this car is a blast, don't see them often in this condition much.
