Steering Knuckle...? Does he mean the Control arm?
well the dealer quoted me about 350 to have mine replaced, but as it turned out, it was a warranty repair, b/c i they replaced it when i had an accident in january...
GET IT FIXED THO...I drove for a month with a bad one, and what happens is there will be slack in the steering wheel, and the car will jump to the outside of corners when you make hard turns

The steering knuckle is the piece that houses the wheel hub, the torque member (brake caliper mounting bracket) mounts to, the tie-rod connects to. It’s connected to the strut by 2 bolts, and it connects to the ball joint.

It shouldn't be much in the way of labor, but you'll need an alignment afterwards. At Jerry Rome, the knuckle is just under $200. I'd guess 1-2 hours labor (I could do it in less time, and I suck ). Then the alignment's gonna cost ya. Find out what mechanics are gettin' per hour around you, price out the alignment...add 'em all up.

It's definitely a doable job for the shade-tree mechanic. The hardest part would be separating the ball joint. It goes from the control arm up, and you can't get a puller on it as the knuckle itself is in the way. Pickle forks can be used, but it's easy to tear the boot that way. Of course, you'll have to bring your car to the shop to do the alignment.

yea aligment is $56 at a tire shop down the road. Right now i have this peice on there that they said is a temporary fix. It was about $55. I will be using that until i get the money to get the knuckle replaced. Down do you know if you blew a strut.

I also messed my wheel weights up.

Uhm...what piece on there as a temporary fix? Wheel weights? I assume you mean the little weights to balance the tire?

the temp fix is for my camber, they said somehting like the steering knuckle has something to do with camber and they fixed it with this little part. I have no clue what the hell all of this is. I know what camber is, but i hav no clue if the steering knuckle has anything to with it.

I hit curb about month ago and I hit it hard, and scratched up my Stock Rims.. I took it to sears and got alignment. I told the guy to check the car to see if anything screwed up but he didn't mention anything. How would I know if the car got messed up??? For those who hit a curb just tell me what are the signs you get after you hit it. BTW I had to replace my tire.....

Another thing My car pulls to the right a little and somethimes to the left..
