How many of you guys run the stock fpr with Walbro?

chatting with Dixit, he's using his stock fpr. The slightly higher idle/wot fp is not affecting him much. How are you guys doing it?

I'm running Walbro with stock fpr. My fuel pressure is about 7-8 psi higher than stock. I have noticed absolutely no difference from before. I'm getting the same mpg and there's no indication it is running rich (except when boosting when the 8:1 fmu takes over).

I'm running the Walbro FP on stock FPR. But I have an AEM FPR sitting in my room and an Apexi S-AFC on the way. My idle is 40psi and I want to get it down at least ~6psi, and use the s-afc to adjust richness/leaness across the power band.

I am hoping to pick up a significant power/mpg increase with the addition of these two new things with a diagnostic dyno.

Yeap on the dyno when my car was with all the mods and no turbo but the walbro was installed, a/f still pulled the normal 14:1 that most maximas do. Definetely wasnt running at all.

Another one here... No FPG so I don't know what the readings are... I have a Sard waiting to be installed. I think I'm still running rich with the V2 FMU (8:1?) with the 3.12"... I should drop the base FP back down.

I mean I would imagine once the ecu goes closed loop(after warm up) the 02 would adjust at idle/part/wot.

FYI. I saw a SR20DET oem(I believe) FPR what was adjustable! Now you say big freakin' deal right? But the thing is it looked like it had the same size fitting as our stocker! Looked the same but had an adjustment **** on the top. I can't find it now(on ebay) and I also didn't know if that adjustment was for base or wot pressures but it would sure help eliminate some clutter in the engine bay.

SeximaGTR has the Walbro FP. With the addition of an FPR/S-AFC he picked up 20-30whp easy across the board from 3400rpm and below. (outside of boost). Now I know all us SC'ed guys could use that kind of power below boost.

This is another one. It "looks" like it will fit in the stock rail(3 gen anyway) but who knows? I'll ask the seller what is adjustable.

Here is an ad. Kinda unclear about the idle/wot fuel pressure. Looks like the adjustment is for base and has the ability to raise FP on boost. But it's limited to a 1:1 fp/boost ratio.

Maybe not such a good idea.

I know for the AEM FPR you have to buy an adaptor peice to connect it to the fuel rail. Sx7r sells them for around 25 bucks. I'm sure he or someone could make an adaptor for this FPR if need be.

Jeff, it doesn't suprise me that there may be a OE (albeit JDM) that is adjustable. I believe the screw spacing was 1 1/8" so it would probably work.

I'm running a Walbro with the stock FPR and I see 40psi at idle and 50psi at WOT. I have a SAFC2 which helped me tune on the dyno, but overall I wasn't as rich as I thought I would be. Nismo also makes an adjustable FPR that's the same size as our stock fittings.

50psi at full throttle?? That's it? I see 41psi at idle and 83psi at WOT. I guess i'm running insanely rich?

These are the measurements the guy emailed me back with.

1 hole w/o-ring : approximately 1mm gas inlet size

2 mounting holes approximately 33mm from center to center.

He's not boosted, Craig, he's juiced. Your 83 psi fp with a 3.125" pulley may be a little rich, but not insanely rich.

Jeff: Is there such a thing as a "RB20det"?

I know there is a RB25DET, which I plan on shoeing into a 240 someday, but I've never heard of a RB20.

Jeff I have the Walbro 255 HP now and still have my stock regulator in the tank. My fuel pressure did not increase any at all over stock. You can make the same thing in those pictures. Just get another OEM FPR, drill a hole in the top, weld on a bung and run a set srew into it. Instant adjustable OEM FPR. You can increase the base FP with one but to reduce the fp from stock more work will be required such as changing the spring inside the unit.
