Intermittant Start on 95 Maxima

Sometimes it takes 1 try, sometimes it takes 50. Clicks and all dummy lights come on. Just need to keep trying. Any ideas?

let them test hte starter first, then buy a new one. u might have a bad starter solenoid instead of hte actual motor itself, um i think njmax knows how to test it

Replaced the starter and solenoid - still have the same problem. turn the key, click - can start on the first try or can take 50+ tries. did not mind changing out starter, but really hoped that the problem would go away.

Any other ideas. Gonna try a new key....

Thanks for the help.
