last night i went to start my car. It made a slightly funny noise but the engine started so I didnt really pay attention until I noticed that my battery AND my brake warning lights were on. I drove the car a block and then went back home

The car manual seems to think its the alternator. Is there any other explanation?

My other question is.. the nearest nissan service center is 15 miles away. Can I make it there? or do I have to go to the ghetto shop down the street.

Also what's up with the brake light? I checked the break fluid and no my parking brake is not on =P

I'd appreciate any help
