We have been recently car sitting a brand new mr2 spyder and have grown quite fond of a two door car. I don't know however we feel that we may be growing somewhat tired of the max. we love the car but are looking at different options. Retiring it in storage or selling it. We don't know yet. It is that we have finished doing what we wanted to do to it for now, shoot maybe a pulley change, nos, recaros. We have just become limited on what to do next and are looking at something different.

Don't get us wrong, we have always loved the max and will continue to do so, however we may go the route of others on this page(you know who you are).

So, though this may be off topic, we have decided upon some candidates for our next project.

My candidates:

1. New M Coupe***(what I really want)
2. Porsche 930(love the whale tail)
3. S4(if we want another 4 door)

My wife's:

1. S2000
2. 300z
3. Viper

What do you guys think? Any other ideas? If you feel this is too off topic, feel free to have a moderator delete it.

If you happen to sell the max, and part it out, then I will take your body kit. Seriously though, you have a pretty rare SMX maxima and you should hold on to it.

Bored with Max??

Hey Lee,

I'm seriously thinking about the new Z car. Yesterday I went to the nissan dealership where I know the owner and asked him about ordering one. He said ge'll take orders in 6 months and I said fine as long as you guarantee that I won't have to pay more than the MSRP. He said no problem and I'm waiting to place the order. Can you just imagine how the nissan dealers will be trying to gouge their customers because it will be a highly anticipated car?? Just look at what they're getting for those piece of shiitt chrysler PTs. Some idiots are paying 3,4,and even 5 thou over list. What a joke!!
I'm sure there will be a huge aftermarket for the new Z. It won't be like this bullshiitt that we have to contend with our maxs and i30s where there is little available and what is is over priced!!
The more I think about it, I'm definitly getting a new Z.
Can't wait.
Just make sure you choose a car with big aftermarket support because you know you and Vanessa will want to play!!!!

I like the 930 edition. My friend has a slant nose with the RUF transplanted engine. It gets over 600 HP It is a car you hear before seeing it. Living in Hawaii I would stick with the two seater convertibles. Maybe the new SC 430 convertible by Lexus would also be nice. Mercedes also makes fine roadsters SL 600 and SLK320. The S2000 is a nice choice.

There is an option you left out on your SMX, and that is convertible conversion. Maybe we can start with a photoshopped version first.

Can't wait. Of course I'll still keep my i30 for a daily driver. I have too much money in it so I'll drive it another 3 or 4 years.

If you still have the Volvo, and you retire (please don't sell) the Maxima, then buy a coupe, and make it German. You can't go wrong with a 993 (safer than a 930 but better looking than a 996.) Good luck with the tough choice.

hmm..

if the max is going into storage hands down get the viper...
but damn that is a huge difference in performance mod price. there was a viper on ebay maybe a year ago with about 40 grand in mods alone. my second choice would be the m coupe. good luck!

I would go for the S2000 and BMW 3 series. The Viper and Porsches already have tremendous power. I think it would be harder to mod the S2000 and BMW to the level of the Viper or Porsches. Thus, it would be a more enjoyable project IMO. Or wait for the new Z to come out and get that as your project.

You can't go wrong with the BMW, Dinin makes some pretty badass upgrades for BMWs hehe.

And BTW, you're not allowed to sell that max

im strictly a BMW man myself... i wouldnt touch the S2000 power band is set too high .. 9000rpm? .. BMW mcoupe or even the M3 .. There is a strong following of BMW and fanatics everywhere. Fun to mod and fun to drive... you have a various assortment of manufacture's for parts...... but you know all this....

if you get an Mcoupe you could take pictures like your bro does hehe ......

Or you could get a 70 chevelle 454 SS, but shortly after youll wonder if the gas tank can ever be filled
