if the MAF is out it wont rev past 2500rpm and if it is malfunction or about to go out u can tap it with any metal object and if it is messin up the car will shutdown... ive seen it done to all nissans many times. and plus i replaced it with the MAF on my friends max and nothing changed.

HP and Throttle Response loss = MAF on it's way out
Incorrect idle speed and the code for IACV = Your IACV is bad.

It's very possible that both of these items are bad. Replace the IACV first, clear the error and see if your car runs better. If you keep getting the MAF code back and your HP and throttle response is still poor, then your MAF is probably on it's way out.

When the MAF sensor is out and you rev, the rpms just drop, what does that mean?

No, your MAF sensor needs to be replaced.

I checked the voltage on the MAF sensor I got about 11-12 volts, that means it's working fine right?

If the MAF and sensor are good, what should happen when the sensor is out and you rev? For me, sometimes it wouldn't go past 2.5rpms and sometimes the rpms would just drop.

Thanks...
