Converted trunk torsion bars and....
... changed my knock sensor.
Don't know that anyone will actaully care that I changed my knock sensor, though I did manage to do it with NO cuts
(note to self: didn't bleed, must have done something wrong, double check when you get home)
I also converted the trunk torsion bars to struts. I had to take the bars out about a month ago to fit the new sub box in (which is being sold, lol). I finally got tired of haveing to hold a HEAVY trunk lid up when needing to do something or put something in the trunk. I got a pair of 1G DSM struts and decided to put em in. After looking at them for a while and figuring out where to mount them so that they would be effective but not get smashed due to their length, i found a position that worked. Drilled three holes on each side and stuck em in. They hold the trunk open in any position that I want from barely open to all the way open. They don't want to pop the trunk open though when I hit the release. SO I have to hit it and grab the bottom of the trunk lid to open it. THough I'll be installing a spring release to remedy that this weekend.
Just thought that I would share as from what I've found, there's only one other Max on here who has done this and he's a 3rd gen.
