Who drives their max hard?

Ever since I got my 97 SE...i cant help but keep my foot on the gas...I dont floor it on every light but I kidda have a heavy foot syndrome. My tranny is very smooth and most of the time it shifts flawlessly. How bad can driving a little hard be? I change my oil every 2500 miles and keep it maintained. And ever since I got the Frankencar Intake and Budget Y-pipe....I love hearing that roar. Are you guys like this too??? The VQ is one amazing machine!! So far it hasnt let me down...

PS: Lead Foot and M3 is a very good combo!! I drove one today..

I drive mine pretty hard as well. I think that if you keep taking good care of her, the VQ will last for a very long time.

yep, i drive it like i stole it. I was thinking of putting the factory airbox back in just so it wouldn't make the wonderful growl when i floor it with the intake. I have been SSSOOOO lucky not to get a ticket

Most of the time my car's going to redline...it just sounds and feels too awesome to shift at 3k...I've been doing this for 3 years, driving aproximately 3 hours a day...no problems, aside from my tranny bearings going from hard shifting.

Be nice to your tranny (no slamming gears ) and everything will be fine!

I drive it harder than the average person drives their car but I've only had beaters up until now so I wouldn't really consider my driving to be that bad. I wait for the engine to warm up before going above 3500 and I dont slam the gears or pull the e turning or any of the numerous other things I have infilcted upon my last car. I still redline it quite often and average 10 to 20 mph faster than the rest of the traffic on the freeway.

Nissan tests all their engines by running them at redline for 48 hours straight. I doubt driving it hard could beat it that much.
