Damn...i feel embarassed..but check it out..last night I raced my friends turbo v40 station wagon..it has 165hp..I got a 93 se with the cai and the exhaust..we both have autos..now when we raced he jumped on me a car length when we started out and it remained like that the whole straight away..Anyone know any good mods i can put to get that extra boost when i start out and did ANY OF YOU GUYS RACE A VOLVO??i mean i raced accords civic's etc and whooped them..but this guy kinda smoked me man..

 

then you really better watch out for a S70 T5 5spd, they do 0-60 in 6.1 and the 1/4 in 14.7 stock! Not to shaby huh? I raced a Volvo S80 T6 in my 95 Max 5-spd,Stock VS Stock {at the time} and it was a close race but I ended up taking it by about a car length by the time I hit 70MPH. At times I wish I bot a S70 T5 rather then my I30 but what the heck.

Some guy came flying up next to me at a light one night, looking at me like he wanted to race. So, we did, I took him right off the line and pulled slowly from there and ended up with him just off my bumper by mid-third gear (~80+ mph). He was pretty disappointed so we raced again at the next light (with a slower start for me - trying for less wheel spin) and I got the same results. I am thinking that it was 1st gear that won it for me, seeing that he probably doesn't feel the turbo until 2nd gear. He had a 5spd, and I am assuming that he was stock. I had (have) a CAI, RT Cat and Jet-Hot Y-pipe, with no tachometer (it's broken).

 

yea..how am i supposed to prepare..lol..that volvo was a 2000 and the **** weighs like 5 pounds..but like i asked before whats the best mod i can get that helps me on the take off..a y-pipe?

 

I also raced a new C70 auto against my 97SE 5spd.. All the way through second he kept up. Once i hit 3rd he was in my rear view mirror...


JibaroMax yes a Y pipe would be a good start .. I found a good amount of hp with just that bolt on. Had to be one of my best investments.

 

i was thinking to myself, i wonder if he likes my new muffler. if it was one of the v6's, i don't know, they are pretty fast.
