All was to well with the car.......

The car has been running great.. so somethign had to give...

It is the driver side CV joint. I got to work and there was oil all on the inside of my rim and on the axle.

Oh well I guess @ 130,000 miles it happens

I guess I will pick some at the local auto parts store and see if jay25 will let me use his house once again

Na the shafts are fairly easy to get out, should take about 45mins.

Might as well do both sides while you're at it. The outer cv joint boot on both of my driveaxles went out within a month of each other.

Ah, you can still drive around on it lol. I drove around on two bad CV axles for about a month. They both blew out within a few days time from each other. I had to drive that long on those axles because I had NO money to get the new/re-man. axles. But, I sent you a PM Bags....

Yeah I have a hole in one of my boots, thanks to eric pointing it out.. no wonder it was getting hard to keep the wheel all polished and clean, time to call autozone about my lifetime on the axle.

I think he meant getting grease off of the rim, not axle off of the car

When those cv points rip replace them as soon as possiable. The greae dries up and the axle will be useless. It happen to me glad I have a warranty though.

Is not that hard I have a cure or a shortcut to removing that type of stuff. Just have to pour a bit of oil back into the tranny since it may leak some tranny oil.
