Have you seen a 2K2 Headrest? That is why I went with the 7" overhead instead.

The only way you could properly flush mount a monitor in these headrest would be to use a VERY small monitor.. If you notice the headrest is very slim and there is stiching lining the outside edges of it.. If this is cut it is going to cause big problems with your headrest.. Plus taking out the foam to flush mount the monitor, would cause the headrest to lose its stability and cause your headrest to have all kinds of soft spots and possibly areas where it leather is raised.. I didnt think it would be worth it..

I would say so.. The shroud on my monitors was fairly big.. Maybe if you can find a brand that has a smaller shroud you can fit a slightly bigger monitor.. Let me know if you do!

your car is sweet, im not too excited about the way the monitors sit off the headrest with all that plastic, but what can ya do.

im kinda over the whole "monitors in the headrest" thing anyhow...they are pretty much unfunctional...ever try to sit back there and watch them? its like the screen is always at the wrong angle.

anyways....

tight car dude.

a quick warning...i hope the nos is mostley for looks, auto tranny and nos are a match made in hell!

1.Hey nice headrest monitors.

2.Where did you get them and how much? Because I will be getting some soon and am shopping for the best price.
3.Also, what brand are the monitors?

4.And how much did you pay for the power converter for the ps2 and how much was installation?

5.Tell me how much the headrest monitors were with and without installation?

6.Who did the job?

I am also from Chicago and I am finding a good place that does a neat job with the leather.

2. I bought mine from my work.. I work with a stereo replacement company (for insurance claims) and we had them extra in the stock room.. I picked them up for 250.00

3. They are Power Acoustik PT561MH 5.6" Monitors

4. The power convertor was 30.00 and the installation was free.

5. Not sure how much the headrest cost, I used the ones that came with my car.

6. My father and I

The side airbags come out of the upper side of the seat, and extend in front of the windows. The monitor won't block them or be in the way.

Nice ride! I put my PS2 in the exact same spot, it's just made to fit!!

agreed. i'm not a fan of how the screens bulge out. seems like it was just slapped on. if the screens were flush, that would have been nicer. maybe cutting apart that shroud so that the border doesn't seem ENORMOUS.
