Timing Cover Project Done!!!

Yay...I get to drive my car back. Well I finally attempted to reseal the front and rear timing covers and upper and lower oil pans. I had a few oil leaks and they were getting worse. Don't know if I solved my oil leak problem yet, but this was fun. This was something that really challenged me. Never knew I would be doing something like this but yeah. Next will possibly be the 5spd Conversion. Thanks for the people who helped me out, Matthel and especially MadMaxx95....

Congrats man! I need to do it as well, the mechanics that worked on my car to replace the Rear TC O-RINGS didn't solve the oil leak...They show me the new o-rings before installing them, and they were orange...What color were your o-rings?

Are you talking about the o-rings between the block and the upper oil pan? Mine were orange, but what does the color have to do with the quality of the parts?

Well, to my defense I would say that the thread appeared as ¨JUST IN¨, so I didn´t bother to check the date...My sincere apologies...But returning to my question...I heard that the color has to do with the material of the o-ring (If it black it´s BUNA IIRC). Since I paid for the same work and the leak returned a little after that...I wasn´t very confident that my former mechanic used the right o-ring.

But if yours were orange, that just confirms the lousy job the mech did.
