alot of people have had maf failures with so many different intakes that you will probably hearing k&n is bad. ive never had a problem with any k&n product on any vehicle. people are afraid the oil from the k&n is killing the maf which may be part of the case but its not just the oil. if you are careful with reoiling when its dirty and making sure out the package that its not leaking oil out then you should be fine. the k&n that comes with the frankencar has a larger filter area than the apexi.

I have the apexi, no oiling necessary and easy to maintain. Both should be similar performance though.

Save the money and get the K&N. I bought the Apexi and I don't think the difference is worth the money.
