I might beat the dealership!
I might beat the dealership!
After the dealership declined my paint claim I mentioned that I haven't filled out the customer service survey I received with my new Maxima. I said I was going to have a ball with it, that got my contact guy jumping. He called me back the next day and said that he still could do nothing about the paint but offered me new wheels, the thing is that they wouldn't be new, they would have 10,000 - 16,000 miles on them, but he assured me that they would be free of defects unlike my stained wheels. He also said they wouldn't be as shiny as mine. I told him I'd sleep on it. Well I've decided I shouldn't compromise in this situation, they should stand behind their products and so called quality. I'm going to call him back today and say no deal, if he wants to make me a happy customer and keep my business they can offer me new wheels and repaint my trunk lid. What do ya'll think? Should I go with the compromise, or take it to the next level?
Are you the guy that was complaining about stains on the wheels and paint, stating that you hadn't washed the car in 2-3 months?
If so, I'm amazed the dealer is giving you the time of day. If there is normal "dirt" on the car, then it might be ok to neglect it, but if you see streaking and staining and let it bake in for awhile, then it's your own fault.
