2001 Maxima Supercharged

Just place the order for a Stillen V2 Supercharger (SC) for my 01 5speed GXE (Sleeper).

I have a catman y-pipe and CAI, Im wondering what is the max boost I should run without a inter-cooler? And is it possible to still use the CAI? or will this have to be trashed for the SC?

Also, Any other things/problems with the SC?

You'll have to make your own CAI for the supercharger.

I'm scared that you don't know any of this already. I'd study up before I put that thing in

Are you planning to run on stock pulley? 3.6" which should yield like 6psi or so... That's hardly anything at. You'll definitely fee the difference.. But if I were you I would just jump with a 3.33" since that's pretty good for starting and will yield like 8psi or so. This way you save time and money on having to take the blower off and puttin it back on. And as for the cai you'll have to make a custom one. LatinMax has a pretty good write-up on it.

But if I were you I would definitely start searching on SC's. There's a lot of things you'll need to know before jumping into Boost. Fuel,Tuning,Maintenance..etc... Just remember this.. Anytime you add more HP to a car you loose reliability and something always break. So have some rainy day money ready...

Typically a v2 blower will cost like $3250 or so... And like I said before, how much boost you run determines hos fast you run..

Thanks for the Welcome. Ive been reading alot on the SC for my car and of course lots of other engine mods. Water Injection sounds nice for a SC.

Just got my Waver that stillen wants me to sign and fax back to them, get me the pen

Nice to know that I can still use my CAI, Ive worked around alot of CNC/DNC machines (I do have access to CAD/CAM and 5 and 6 axis machines, and lathes, I work on computers so I can trade time for work for CNC access.)

Cutlr7, Yea, Im out here in the STiX. I travel up your way alot (like the ride from New Market 211 to the City (the Mt. Road are killer

releasedtruth, dont worry. Ive been reading the do/donts/problems and such. I do not plan on going over 7psi right now, not without a inter-cooler any way. Im not gonna install this device, Im gonna get a pro to do the work. Im not gonna spend 3,700 on something just to have it cost me MEGA bucks from a bad install.

PCGuRu2K, I plan on going with the stock pulley now 6-7 without a inter-cooler (what ive read) would not be good, I have the $ to do more later on. Also I know the timing, fuel flow need to be adjusted. Im gonna take it easy drive train till i build it up. As for the maintenance ill read and learn that before usage, my old 91 ford truck 6-bannger lasted me 385,000 miles, and is still running! And I did all the maint. on it. (no major problems or breakdowns(never left me sit)) Sorry for the rambling on... (kick myself for getting ride of that cool truck).

palmerwmd, cost (ALoT) check www.stillen.com for the price. In the quarter dont know yet, never have had it on the track yet! But ill find out and post it here. I would like to see 100mph, as for time (maybee somewhere in the high 13's? I dont do alot of racing (dont care to just like the POWER im my Cars)

Well, bed time for me, Computers do take alot out of one sometimes, thanks for the info all...
