SC Startup oil pressure

Do you SC guys get low oil pressure (oil pressure light) when you start your car? I always get it for about a second, then pressure builds up.

I'm assuming its because oil from the SC feed line drains, and it needs to be filled up before pressure can build.

Is this normal for you guys? Can we build a "check valve" into the line somewhere?

My OP builds up 1-2 seconds after startup but that's going through a dedicated S/C oil cooler too.

***edit: It fast idles to about 50psi on cold starts***

I think its normal. The times when I start my car up first thing in the morning after opening the garage door and if I don't wait for a few seconds the transmission doesn't engage into reverse right away.. It also feels like there's no pressure. The times when I do start the car, open the garage door and then put it into reverse the pressure has built up and its eager to go.

I've had the oil pressure light before boost, but what you are saying makes sense. I had to replace my pressure sensor and the light still comes on a little bit.

I think it's more than normal.. sometimes it'll just blip for half a second, sometimes it'll blink on and off for 2-3 seconds like it's got a mind of its own.

And I've noticed this to be a complaint on non-boosted maxes too.. it's just one of the Nissan added-features of your car - enjoy the light show!
