I bought my car june 3rd. I really never had a problem with the car besides this weird noise it made when i started it at the dealership which he re-assured me that it was because the car hadnt been started in weeks which still hasnt gone away... someone said it was a self-adjusting timing belt or something but what ever... so now about a week ago i go to turn on my a/c and nothin came out. I turned the setting to 4 ... still nothing. I tried everything, so i thought it was the fuse that was causing the fans not to go on.. because nothing was blowing out, so i left it on 4 not realizing and finished drivin to work about 5 minutes later it jus comes on... now it seems lik everyday since sometimes the fans work sometimes they jus decide not to turn on, i tried turning it to different settings and turnin off the a/c button nothing works basically i jus have to wait... if any of you have any clue as to what it is i would appreciate a response... and if any of you have heard of a grindin/erring noise when starting a 2k maxima i would greatly appreciate it

 

I have a 2K max and the noise you hear upon start-up is in fact the timing chain adjusting, I have it too and nothing to worry about..
