Is this a decent 1/4 mile time/speed?...

I have a 96 SE 5spd with y-pipe and JWT cone intake, and the best I could seem to pull was a 15.330@90.52. My max has 146,300 miles on it and I use premium gas. Is this a decent time? cuz i thought I would do better. It was my first time at the track, but I felt like I was doing pretty good. When I saw the numbers I thought they would be lower. Anyone else have these mods and what is you 1/4 mile time?

It looks like you're in canada...do you have the vlsd on your max? Doesn't that help you to get traction or something? Would that help compensate for differences between our times? just wondering. I think I'll check out KS and O2 sensors. Anyone else?

What is your elevation cause that makes quite a difference if your higher. I live in Utah and the elevation is around 4500 ft. Our 1/4 times are about a sec slower than at sea level.

Yup, elevation and weather conditions will have a big effect on times.

What track was this and what were your 60' times? Your trap speed is fairly low given the mods, but not slow enough for a bad knock sensor, so maybe you're at higher altitude?

We need to know the elevation of your track and the weather conditions.

BTW mileage doesn't necessarily equal slower 1/4 miles. I've got 147K miles and my 1/4 mile time and speed is decent.

yep, this is true, it depends on how well the motor was treated over it's lifetime (how many owners) where the car spent most of it's life, general maintenence etc etc etc
motor life is individual to each different car
