ok i been getting this noise like a whindling sound goes with the rev (gets loudder). last night and i reved up my car 2 chirp 2nd and when slowed down i heard this noise. sounds like thier was a can in my engine bay noise (noise **** and goes)its coming from my belts side i think its the alter, water pump. but im think its my alter. car has 154,000 96 max

should i got with a rebluit alter.???? or where can i get one?

 

first look at your belts. IF they are cracked replace them .

 

nope no cranks just changed them when did the UDP but they are squealing a lil (just need 2 be tighented

 

they might be too tight or too loose. But if you want to know if its your alternator or any kind of pulley, get a long piece of metal ( or long screwdriver and put in ton the center bolt on the pulley?alt/ whatever when its running, you will know if your alternator is crap when you put your ear on the screwdriver.

 

i did that sounds like its coming mostly from the alter. but not sure. i put the screw driver on the alter. not on the pulley.
