I bent 2 rims last winter. I hit a water filled pothole down the street from my house and blew out both right side tires. I had both of them repaired and I replaced ALL of the tires. (At least it was an excuse to get rid of the Potenzas.)

I bent 2 TE 2003 rims in January. Both wheels on the right side of the car. Cost $1,200 to replace. Insurance covered it.

Yep - one of mine is slightly bent (less than 15k on the car). Suspect it was one of the various nasty holes in the Houston freeway system...fortunately it's still within the range of balancing.

Can you tell me where you had the wheels fixed? I replaced my Evo's with SSR's, and I'd like to see if Evo's can be repaired .

I bent a rim on my 2k3 Titanium SE a couple of weeks ago. I went to Buffalo for a business trip and ended up buying a defaced rim from MIke Barney Nissan for $100. Brought the rim back to CT and threw on a new tire and was good to go. In the interim i sent the bent rim to a local place here in CT. They repaired it for $150. I threw that back on and now I have a full spare in the trunk as opposed to that donut!!!
If anyone needs information about the rim repair shop do not hesitate to let me know.

I haven't bent one, but I broke one! took a 3" piece out of the front drivers rim. Hit some construction debris in Houston on 45 in the Woodlands lots of traffic and no emergency lane to go to, it was either the debris or the wall....I took my chances with the debris. Actually, I had to have 3 rims and 2 rubbers replaced. The rear drivers tire was skinned down to the belts half way around the tire. Man, a blow out at 70mph with traffic and a wall sucked!

crazy!

I'm looking to get some of these wheels just because i want something really durable for daily driving in NY. Roads are quite bad around here and I was hoping these 17s would be suitable for daily driving but evidently all rims have flaws.

OEM is supposed to be stronger than anything aftermarket, and if that is the case, perhaps it's better to just get some 16s

a friend of mine had an old Z26 Berreta (i think the number is 26...) anyway, i was racing him in my old 1994.5 Sentra Limited Edition with the 1.6L...

I kinda accidentally forced him off the road, and he bent the rim on his berreta..

oops

My boss saw it, and it was in the company parking lot (ok, he was a Gunnery SGT, and we were Lance Corporals in the Marine Corps, and it was the Squadron parking lot)

We got a little talkin to afterwards...

Wheels America
1 888 3 FIX RIM

Automatically direct you to your closest wheel repair center francise.

OEM wheels are $109 to fix and paint OEM colors.
Aftermarket wheels, depending on the color, they may charge you extra for them, esp gunmetal grey. I bent two of my Kosei K1s, and when I got the bill from them they pegged me on gunmetal as 'special paint' 109+60/wheel = could've got them @ cost for that much, instead of repair.
