Just a heads up! (People with KYB/GR2 and lowered springs)

After installing my SS brake lines I noticed a noise when the wheel was turned all the way to the right. It ended up being the bracket holding the brake line in place (on the strut) making the brake line rub against the ABS line bracket (attached to the car). This could cause a problem if not addressed. I have Maxspeeds which lowers the front about 1.5 inches which also help align these two brackets so they rub at full lock position.

Please check yours for clearence if lowered with GR2s!

So what did you do to address the rubbing or potential rubbing?

It's the SS lines that are causing the problem, not the ride height. SS lines aren't as flexable as the OEM hose and they tend not to follow the same path either. Also the position of where you place the mount on the hose is very important as well.

You are right but I spent great time making sure the lines were installed the best way possible.

The lowered ride height makes the brackets align closer than if not lowered unless under compression.

I pulled the ABS sensor line off the bracket, bent the bracket flush with the car then zip tied the wire to it. I was in no mood to do anything better than that after the install and bleed of the lines.

BTW the rear lines still interfere with the Progress RSB brackets and I have to do something to fix that next. I think a Stillen RSB will help a great deal not having the bulky brackets.

so are you saying that there is really only a problem if you happen to also have SS brake lines installed?
