my head.
I am so pi$$ yesterday, somebody purposely hit my driver side door with target shopping cart and it's left a preety noticeable 3 long dent marks on the door.

I did parked my car way from the crowd on the other end, 'cause I could not stand a door ding, but now 3 dents mark from a crappy shopping cart.

sory guys.. just need to share my frustation on some people that have no idea how much we value our car.

btw: anybody know any good and decent dent repair shop in DFW area?
TIA

The store should pay for the damage. I had some genious crack my Ford Exploder tail-light. The store covered the replacement... no questions asked.

Not if you show the store that the marks line up exactly to one of their carts. Can't hurt to try.

Just wanted to make a point here...a lot of people (myself included) park away from other vehicles to avoid this problem. However, I had a '95 Maxima that was damaged due to this. A lot of times what we don't understand is...if the parking lot is slanted down to where you park, a shopping cart will (and can) roll on it's own into your vehicle.

Geez, sorry about your car. I can relate to that. The only thing about parking lot, it's pretty much at your own risk since the store usually not responsible for incident in the parking lot. That's one of the things i hate even though we all believe that parking far from the building would prevent dings from idiots who don't know how to park but stupid shopping cars.

Parking lot horror story

I have a good one for you guys ...

I hadn't owned my '02 Max but about 4 weeks when I'm sitting in a restaurant in full view of my car. Some a$$hole pulls up on the passenger-side of my car in a piece 'o crap 80-something Firebird, and when he gets out his car rocks back because he didn't lift his foot off the brake until he's getting out. At the same time as his car rocks back, I see my car move in unison. The edge of his 300lb door caught the front edge of the moulding on my rear door. I can't believe it didn't tear the moulding right off. I bolted out of the restaurant to confront the guy, and he had the audacity to deny it. I practically had to drag him back to my car and show him what he had done (he knew full well). I got his info and STILL had to get my attorney to send the guy a letter before he paid for the replacement moulding. I still hold on to the guy's info in case I'm in a bad mood and need someone to yell at on the phone!!

Only problem is... around here, anyway... stores are now posting signs in the parking lots about how they will not be responsible for damage from shopping carts.

Doesn't mean that you can't fight them on it... but it usually means getting a lawyer (more $$) to do it for you.

Sucks though.

I don't know about that. Most lots are not own by the stores, they give it to the city so the city can tow car. Only if they have a gate or a time limit then the store own's it.

If I pull up to a store parking lot and see alot of shopping carts around I just keep on going and shop somewhere else.
