Free AE floormats but the dealer still had problems with install!

I has a worn spot where by foot is on the drivers side floor mat. I asked them to replace under warranty before it expired and they did!!! (did the same with my ford also)

When they came in, of course I cannot install them so I pull the car in to have the tech do it. Free floor mats, the whole set of AE mats, not just the drivers side.

So when I pull out I notice as I'm driving down the road they put the mat OVER the gas pedal!!!!!! Damn how can you trust them to work on your car when they can't even install floor mats correctly? I should have wrecked and sued for a new car!

(I also got my rotors turned as well)

EVERYTHING is free under the 3yr/36000 warranty except wear items such as brake pads (unless you cause the damage under abnormal use)!

Don't let a dealer tell you otherwise!

Screw that! If I had a dealer that was willing to replace the floor mats and not argue about turning rotors under warranty, I'd be all over it!!!

why did it take you until you were driving down the road to notice ?
first thing I do after I get into my car after getting service, carwash, etc. is to check everything
seat, mirrors, everything is still there, did not blast my stereo etc.
as soon as your foot touched the gas pedal you shuld have know something was wrong before you even started your car.

AE mats have MAXIMA and 20th AE embroidered on to them on the front. Nice but hard to keep the stiches clean.

When you have warranty work done the dealer has to start a work order and record labor to have it reimbursed by NISSAN. They couldn't just give me the new parts because they needed to keep my old mats and install the new ones to get NISSAN to pay the dealer for the work.

I guess I was so happy after getting new brakes and mats that I didn't realize the mat was over the pedal until I pulled out the back of their shop.

To make your mats grey again get them steam cleaned! It worked for me after last winter. I steam cleaned my house and brought all the car mats in and did them as well.

So the mats are covered under what warranty, 3yr-36K or 60K miles? I wish I had known about this.

I had mine stame cleaned when I had my house carpets done, also. They look great. Also, I have a gray interior and I use gray floor mats in the summer and bought a dark (charcoal?) set for winter. Works for me.

Be careful!!!!!!!!!

I never buy the extended warranty because lots of stuff is NOT covered. The extended warranty ususally comes with a book of parts that are not covered. Take a look at the warranty details before you go crazy.
