G- Force / Jwt Ecu Avanced Timing

Our knock sensor determines some of our ecu's timing advance, if not all of it. now since the ecu's both adjust and advance timing do they by-pass the knock sensor signal?

No. The knock sensor will adjust timing if pre-ignition occurs. eg; to low of an octane level in the fuel. Advancing the timing will just require you to always use higher octane gas. You won't be able to get by with 89 anymore. So if your running a G-force or JWT ECU it's easier for pre-ignition to occur with lower octane gas.
