...ANOTHER 99 ECU Post....

Okay folks, many have talked about how Nissan changed the ECU's in 99 to the newer, 2K/2K1 style. This thread in the 5th gen forum is drumming up support for TechnoSquare to develop an ECU that would work with the 2K/2K1's, based on their success with the 2K2 ECU.

So the question is... can anyone confirm the similarity of the 99 to the 2K/2K1? And if so, would a logical assumption be that the 2K/2K1 ECU in development would work for us 4th gens with the newer style ECU?

LOL. Best of luck to you my friend..I posted a thread of who would want a 99 ecu upgrade tons of people yes I would, etc..etc....I then had someone available willing to try and crack the code. So I asked for money support and based on the number of people we had it would have been like 5 dollars each if not less to buy a spare ecu to send the guy. I got like 5 people willing to pay. Its almost a waste of someones time to try and get this upgrade because it appears as though everyone wants it...yeah no one is ready to fork over any money to get the ball rolling.
As for your question the answer is no. 2k and 2k1 ecus control the variable intake...now if you could get the 2k intake on your car that would be cool. Its actually not the ecu thats the same is the similarity in the wiring harness for the sensors, and the new sensors and emissions system that are similar to the 2k and 2k1.

For those that care I'm just gonna spend the money on the ecu on my own.......

from what I know 99's are their own breed. They would need their own specific program.

Aside from the VIAS, are there any differences between our 99 motors and the 2k/2k1 motors?
