best clutch

I am looking for a new clutch in the next few months and am afraid to jump in to the aftermarket world as I hear even the stage 1 clutches destroy our 3rd gear and the entire tranny in total sometimes..>!>!>!??

Should I just get the stock one from courtesynissan.com?? How much above stock can the OEM NISSAN clutch hold (powerwise) anyone tested this?

and yes I know not to buy the key value clutch.......!!!!!

any suggestions?

How long did the OEM clutches last you guys? How about your aftermarket? any longer?

any more group deals on the fidanza flywheels by the way? which is the only good aftermarket flywheel for our maxima's from what I understand!

OEM is definitely more than enough if you are not boosting. I'm only at 58,000 on mine right now and it's still going strong...no slipping whatsoever.

If you not getting boost or nitrous, get an OEM clutch. They'll take all the NA power you can throw at them. I had almost 90k on my stock on, only 1 slip ever (and that was a bad burnout at the track).

My old 97 GXE (now my mom's) has over 100k on the stock clutch. Lots of track abuse, and it has NEVER slipped.

so is it true that aftermarket clutches can destroy our tranny's?
