if you have a CD player in car, you can always burn the mp3 clip of a root/screw-type blower onto an audio CD and turn on the volume to max when you race somebody.

Dave B pretty much said what I was going to say and I didn't want to clutter up the thread with a "me too". The only thing different I would have said is that I'm thinking a Maxima with a centrifugal SC, a MEVI and extended redline out to 7200 would be able to beat a roots-blown Maxima. Just a feeling I have. Gotta love that low-end power of the roots, though!
