givin' up the max this week...

Due to work relocation, I'm forced to get rid of the car. Job's moving to a bad area and I've seen quite a few late model maxima's without HID's in the area. Went to the dealer, they offered 20K. The car has 3100 miles on it, 6 months old. It's sad because I really like this car. Anyone here with a similar situation?

IMO, due to the depreciation, I'd go with AE lights and then u can keep the car...

yeah they are ugly, but at least u get to keep it w/o worries

Which area is your job moving to? Are there any public transportation options for you?

swapping the lights to the AE models would be the only alternative but I don't want to void the warranty. job relocated to sunset park - brooklyn and it requires me to travel to newark often.

Void what warranty; the one on the headlights? I say get the 2k1 AE headlights and call it a day. By the way what car are you looking at trading for?

It would make a lot more sense just to buy a $1000-2000 car for when you need to go into bad neighborhoods.

Sorry to hear that. I feel ya, it sux to have to always worry about your car getting ganked. Its a sad state of affairs when you can't have anything nice without someone else wanting to take it away from you. Oh well, that's the society we live in. I agree with the POS commuter car idea.

I'll trade with you

How about you give me your 2k2+ with HIDs, and I'll give you my 2k1.

As long as there's Ricers and Crackheads you will never be able to enjoy your car in NYC.
