Sorry you're V1 was plagued with gremlins....I would personally never, EVER switch from a V1 to a V2.

I know, Craig....

I'll have a quiet blower on a V1 bracket - and 1PSI more boost - the best of both worlds.

I don't really see any foundation to the school of thought that V2's are less reliable - it's just that ALOT more people have them.

From my point of view, it's about the same percentage on the failure rate.

And the V1 is just way too loud - I absolutely hate it - I know you love it - but I just can't seem to like it - bothers the heck out of me.

Really? That's odd, becuase the response I usually get is, "Bro, is that supercharged!!! Thats awesome!!" or "Man I can hear your Supercharger from across the intersection!"

Well I can't help it if you hang out with idiots! I've heard Ian's car numerous times Craigo. It's way too loud IMHO. Hard to sport around town with a classy car like a maxima WHEN YOU HAVE TO TALK LIKE THIS WHEN IAN PULLS UP.

Jeffy, why don't you move down to Florida? We can go out on the town, I can show you all the hot spots. Hell, why don't you come to my high school for a day, and see how you like it? I'll introduce you to some of my girlfriends, maybe you could get some action from them?

Really it's totally personal preference.

I want my car fast, yes - but I don't want it to sound like that. That's all.

In MY OPINION, I feel like it's annoying and inconsiderate to others....Same reason I have a loud stereo but I always turn it down at red lights - why push my hobbies into other's personal space? I enjoy boost, I enjoy my stereo, but I don't want to advertise either...

Not to mention it's embarrassing when I pick up people like the future in-laws in it, my fiance HATES it, people CONSTANTLY say "Dude, your belts are slipping", etc, etc, etc.....just doesn't fit my attitude or lifestyle.

If I had known at all that it would be that loud originally, I would have never bought it - if you read back about 1.5 years in posts, you'll see how dissapointed I was.....I expected it to make noise, yes, but not wake up everyone in the neighborhood.

So now I go to a V2 with a nice classy quiet sound.....yay.

You like your V1 because you want to intimidate and/or impress others.....good for you.

No need to make a big V1 vs V2 war about it.

Jeff is so right about the noise....holy crap I can hear ian a few blocks away....and after hearing a v2 for the first time this weekend....or better yet, not hearing it at all....this will probably prove to be worthwhile. Now to do something about that stealin exhuast. Ya know ian....that cattman exhaust sounds really really nice. hehe

Best mod decision I ever made was going from V1 to V2... My line of thought was exactly where Ian's is. I definitely don't regret it.

That is exactly the reason I went with the V2 instead the V1. This way if anyone finds out that I am boosting.....it is the hard way

Exactly!

The blower arrived at Vortech today. After checking the FedEx tracking number, I called them to make sure they knew they had it.

They'll be tearing it down Monday to let me know whether or not I get the "Class A" or "Class B" return.

Well, this should be interesting - with the V1 leaking I was never on the Dyno able to get over 7.5 PSI -and I was doing 278hp....

So add 3.5-4PSI to that (conservatively).....

Man - I can't freaking wait!!!
