Ok,
Our class has to do a huge physics project, so of course im doing stuff with my car. Im going to oder that gtech pro thing that messures 0-60, etc, but we also have to build somthing. Heres where i need your help. My brother said I should make a photogate timer, where there are two lasers, a certin distance apart connected to a watch. When somthing goes past the first laser, it starts, and when it goes past the second it stops. Then we have time, and distance, which gives us velocity, and we can also easily find acceleration. (Vf-Vo/t). So i was hoping someone knows how to make such a device. Im, of course searching now, but you guys are so smart i was hoping someone knew here.

ask your teacher

My physics teacher has exactly the device you are talking about. I will get more detail after vaca this week.
