1998 gle, 85k, $7,900?

Im probably going to buy this max. I sold my 1990 max, just totalled my 1996 GXE, so now its time to move up. Its loaded, everything standard on gle plus rear spoiler, dark green, highway miles, one owner etc. I already drove it once, but i have to call the guy back and let him know. Is this a good deal? Anything specific i should ask?

Get a 5spd if you can, but if not, that's a semi good deal, the car should be in pretty good condition, I'd take it , maybe try n work on the prioce a little bit more.

GLE's didn't come with 5sp.. but yeah that seems like a good deal, run a carfax on it, and make SURE you do a thorough test drive, look over the car, check the oil to make sure it's not low or make sure theres nothing weird in it, smell the motor after you drive it (to smell if there is any oil burning, or other weird smells)..oh yea and test the BOSE system

I drove it...didnt smell anything out of the ordinary. Tested the bose radio, but didnt test the cd player which i should have. The car is pretty damn clean...barely any knicks or dents or anything. The guy selling it is older, and just bought a brand new camry. He said the toyota dealer wouldnt give him more than 7,000 for a trade in on the max; which is why he is selling it himself.

I just remembered, the only thing the guy said the only major thing that was ever fixed was the alternator, and that was because of the recall. God, I hope the bose cd player works and i dont have the dredded err message.
