Starter Removal

I performed a "starter removal" search. It seems quite easy. However, how do you unplug that small black wire? It's soldered to the starter solenoid on one end. I can't figure out how to unplug the other end.

Thanks,

Just checked it. It's soldered to the solendoid. The other end goes into a plastic gray clip/housing. Can't figure out how to unplug it from the plastic housing.

The connector unclips in the middle of the grey connection. This connector is clipped into a piece of metal. It is tough to get to without removing the white plastic piece under the connector.Play around with it and you should get it.

Just wondering why you are trying to remove your starter-- i removed mine a few weeks ago because it wasn't disengaging fast enough from the fly wheel. I lubed it up but it still does it on occasion.

I lubed the gears. After engaging, the starter would make a strange noise. Looking in MotorVate.com, I found my starter problem. After lubing, no more noise.

I didn't want to break anything, so I removed the metal mounting bracket. I then figured out how to disconnect the darn thing. Thanks for the tip.
