Does anyone know if there is ever a BIG NISSAN MAXIMA DRAG RACING MEET ? Just thinking how awesome that would be if we had a central location that everyone on the org that was interested could show up and have a day or two of fun !

has this been done or attempted. i certainly am not the type to organize something such as this, but racing and seeing who the top car from around the US would be great fun !

There's been something like that, not necessarily a drag racing meet though. I think a regional one might work, but definetely not another Maxus

Do a search for Maxus that's the maxima national meet. Hasn't happened in the last year or 2 though. If we did something in like PA we could get both the east coast guys and the midwest guys to show maybe. I'd be up for it as long as it was less than like an 8-12 hr drive.

BTW at the meets in chicago we've had as many as 10 maybe 12 maximas running.

 

yea, if there was drag racing meet in pennsylvania area i would be game if i could roll up with a few new jersey/new york fellaz.

The closest i have ever seen to this was the annual meet we had this year in johnsonpark (east coast meet). It was originally supposed to be at englishtown where we could see each other's cars and ACTUALLY race without getting yelled at but it didnt work out and we just had a regular meet which turned out pretty good nonetheless.

 

we had regional meets with 20+maxes but it rained a bit so we just ate some good bbq...theres been others around here regular meets at track from 5-10maxes

 

Somebody tried NE Indiana last year (I think it was last year) and not enough people confirmed/paid. They had a track rented out and the whole thing. Too bad.

National meets are tough but what if we did like 3-5 regional meets around the country next year and then compared adjusted times? Pictures of each, video's, maybe dyno's mixed in etc?

 

Come to Arizona on November 8th we will be Racing GTPs. We called it Maxima vs GTP day. We will Dyno some of our cars early that day then we will go to the track after that. So far there is like 20 Maximas on the list plus the GTPs

 

thers gonna be a huge car meet here in maryland on Nov 8th and expected 30+maximas there. and about 200-400more other cars wtih dyno there and good bbq

Yeah but we need something a little more central like Stl or KC so we can get more of the midwest/west people involved

 

Somewhere around Chicago would be good, We would need to get a permit so We can all meet up at the beach or something, Gigantic parking lot man with dope sceanary, (is that how you spell it?).

Ionno if this will ever work out like planned, if it was a small country like on the size of a small state then I think we would meet up every day, But we have a Big country to drive thru inorder to get to the meet. Yeesh waht am I saying!!!

 

cool idea, dunno what a turnout would be like tho. I couldnt make it unless it was near me, then still it'd be questionable... there need to be 8 days in a week (and 4 of them weekend days)

 

I guess there's no dirty south love. I live in north Florida but I'm from Memphis,TN home of Memphis Motorsports Park and that seems to be a pretty central location. Just a suggestion.

 

I could organize a huge meet in Pineville NC if I could get people to come. Tons of parking, facilities, restaurants, hotels, shops etc. etc. etc. and support from the local gov. and popo.

 

Should be a pretty sweet day.
