Hi,

Does anyone know how to remove a CD from the Bose Stereo system?

I have a 96 Max with the front slot loading CD bose radio. A CD is stuck there. When I press eject the CD doesn't come out. Pressing play, forward - nothing works.

umm, first of all did u put the cd in right way? like Burnt side up or
burnt Side Down, cuz sometimes when putting a burnt cd side up you could of fried the motor that ejects the cd. and if that aws the problem then u might need to go to the dealer to get it out if ur not a techie on Bose Systems.

 

Good point - i'm not sure what my girlfriend did.

I've seen some pictures on the web about how to remove the BOSE unit.

Take off the plastic front dashboard to remove some bolts...

Is there a manual eject mechanism once the BOSE/clarion unit is removed?

It's really easy to remove the radio. You can get it off in 2 or 3 minutes or less. Follow those instructions.

 

does any part of it poke through the slot at all? if so, i've had success in the past using anything thin & laminated, like a work ID or something like that; if it's a CD you don't need, use a flathead screwdriver to move it along.

if it's stuck in there all the way, yeah you're gonna have to remove the whole thing
