subs and pressure from opening doors

Hey. I have a Basslink mounted in my trunk (have for about a year) and I just noticed recently that when I open my door (and no other doors/windows are open) I can hear a "pop" come from the trunk (when I'm outside the car). If I open the door while sitting inside the car, I can hear a nice low thump come from the trunk. My read deck is ported, so I assume what I'm hearing is the sub responding to the vacuum created by my opening the door. I don't throw the door open, I just open it normally, but I'm worried that over time this will damage the sub. Is this a legitimate concern? Other people have this problem, right? I know it cannot be electrical because it happens when the car is off.

Thanks,

Doug

Alright... just drove to work and tried like 50 times to recreate this problem, and it's fine now. Although now that I think about it the air may not have been on recirc. so the open vents may have helped. I don't konw... nevermind...
