Top speed 125? lol I'm sorry your 4 door front wheel drive family sedan is not up to big block chevy standards.

Unless you live in Germany there shouldn't be a problem.

Best additive I think is Auto-RX(www.auto-rx.com). It's an oil additive that cleans out the whole engine. Check the fluids section of this forum it is recommended.

Actually I recall a comparison from an old Motor Trend in '91 that ranked the Maxima #1 and it gave the top speed right around 120.

Try it if you want, but I wouldnt put it in my engine.

btw, a stock 89se 5spd can go over 125mph, ive been 137mph in one before, so dont trust everything the magizines say.

I wouldn't put Z-Max in anything. The FTC investigated Z-Max and through independent testing found that Z-Max is essentially colored mineral oil. They also found that Z-Max caused extensive bearing corosion.

IMHO, all of these additives that claim that they bond to metals and save gas while giving you more horsepower are just plain snake oil. Not to mention a waste of money.

Change your oil on a regular basis with quality oil and you should not have a problem.

dont put any addatives in , Izzy put some fuel injector stuff in and ended up replacing an injector.

btw at 16 you dont have nearly enough experience to be driving about 65mph, let alone 100+ take it easy before you kill someone. and then your posting that your max is gone.

Not too mention at this time of year in Eagan MN You don't want any body doing 100+ the temperature changes too quick and tou can easily end up with slippery roads.
Besides stick with FI cleaners that don't spend all their money on advertising.
and NEVER believe these "NEW (insert part here) in a bottle" claims They are short term fixes with long term consequences.

The Auto-rx sounds interesting. Check the post in the liquid thread.

I had an 89se auto up to 115 with plenty of tach left to go before redline, and it was still pulling. Just my experience.

yeah, i've not heard many good things about that stuff.

guess i'll give everyone my speed as well. i hit 125 in 4th gear at around 5000-5500 i believe. hit redline then shifted into 5th and still had 1000 rpm to go. I believe i heard someone say they were clocked doing 143 mph by a cop. He was in a vg 5-speed, same as mine.
