do those things hold up? they all look like they wouldn't do crap. also, what's a decent sounding (not too loud) & priced muffler/catback for a 97 max? ebay's got a rack of those $30 bumblebee tuna cans too... crap...

I don't see why the strut bars would be crap. They all serve the same purpose...stabilization. some might be expensive 'cause they are brand name. I have a no nome strut bar...and it has held up for a couple of years. as for the exhaust...save more money and get yourself an Apexi,Stillen or OBX..lotsa of people are trying out the OBX and have had good reviews about it.

Got my $35 strut bar off Ebay 3 years ago. Why in the world would you pay any more then that for a simple polished aluminum bar?

ditto...
got a ebay fstb from pro car parts and it is fine.
they all serve the same purpose. as long as the bar produces tension between the strut towers. If you care that much about looks get something different

I noticed alittle difference in hard cornering, you feel the front end not sag as much as the back, it's the $15 ebay

I also noticed a LITTLE improvement on how quick and precise my turn-in is.

But, I'll say it and say it again...
GET ES FSB and END-LINK BUSHINGS FOR YOUR MAX. I notice A very big improvement in all areas of handling and the car feels way more solid. Great buy for only 30 bucks

not difficult at all. You could do it. I've seen your posts on motorvate.ca before.
Energy Suspension does not actually make a end-link kit for our cars but if you get a hold of courtesy nissan, they sell the end-link ES bushings for something like 20 bucks shipped, and you can get the part number for the sway bar bushings from energy suspension. they are like 10 bucks.

I got ripped off buying a $25 strut bar from e-bay.
The bracket bolts that bolt it to the bar were cross threaded and forced in.

I got another from e-bay, and it's been installed for for 1 year now. Tighter
feel when turning at high speeds.

My 2¢

One side screws in clockwise, and the other screws in counter-clockwise. Could this be your problem? I've heard of alot of people having the problem of "the screw not threading, not knowing the whole time that they were turning it the wrong way.
