Remove Wheel??

I went to change my tire the other day only to find out that one of the lug nuts it a weird one. This one is completly round and then has a funny pattern on the front where it looks like something fits into it to take it out...I would assume this is to prevent theft of the rims. Is there a tool somewhere in the car or something to get this off? My car is a 99 Maxima SE

Well I just got this car from a used dealer so what are the chances the wheel lock came with it...and if not how do I go about getting a new one?

Well if you have thoroughly search the car and don't find the "key"( one side will fit the pattern of the lock the other will fit into a lug wrench) then you'll have to get it removed by someone. I think drilling or welding is involved. Not sure though so ask around. Oh yeah try asking the dealer for it too.

I found the tool to take off the lug nuts but there is nothing on that or on any of the other tools that fit it. I remember in my saab there was a piece like this for other things that was hidden in the car, did nissan do something like this too. As far as I know these are the stocked rims.

take it back to the dealer and make them take it off or have them pay for the expense to take them off. Shouldnt that dealer have taken them off before to inspect brakes or something before they sell cars?

If you found the "key," all you need is the appropriate sized socket (to fit the back end of the key) with a breaker bar or socket wrench & extension to remove the locking lug nut.

Easy - no need to call 911.
