Well my first choice would be a 94 Maxima SE 5-speed, but if it's not a max......

Maybe buy an older 240SX and throw a 2.0T from the Silvia with the extra $. I would go with the Max first tho'.

Depends on the use... For reliable transportation, a gently used civic or sentra. For something fun, an 89 CRX Si with about $6k left for mods. For a secondary fun car, an 68 Sunbeam Tiger as a restoration project.

Older Z31 turbo like the 88" anniversery->

edition. Build the short block, port the heads and boost the living poo-poo out of it.

Or a Datsun 510 w/ the FJ2.0 turbo engine swap. 300+ hp from a 4 cylinder. SSSee-Ya!

if you don't care about brand

I'd recommend the Hyundai Elantra. It's a joke how cheap they are, 750 below invoice. everything is standard pw/pl/stereo cassette pmirr/ 140 hp DOHC plus a ridiculous 100K warranty Michelin XGT H4 tires better than a 25K maxima

Of course you have to leave your ego at home. If you can't, then you buy a Civic or Sentra with 30,000 more miles and 15-25 less hp. Pretty dumb if you ask me :-)

I'd probobly have to say a,

90-92 Nissan 300ZX Twinturbo.That is a real nice sports car for around $10,000.I am not sure if you will fit in it,your best bet would be to get a 2 seater 300ZX theres probably more leg room in that then the 2+2.I am 6'1 and I can fit in one just fine and just about any other car for that matter.

let me make the domestic VOTE here....

Z31, ZTT yes, HONDA yeah, sure all nice reliable rides; BUT if you want some ol' bouncing around Tire peelin TQ and pay under 10K get a Pontiac Formula 5.7L Auto. Decent on gas for a V8 and 285hp 300tq. I'd like to have one just to tear up add some gears a valve body or shift kit and performance TQ convertor. little exaust action and a CAI kit. FUN car. Cheap on mods.
definatley not a 5.0 OR A z28 blah. LT1-4-FUN
