95 max rear wheel (driver side) problem

I have a 95 max gle, 75,000 miles, bought from a quality nissan dealer one month ago. Driving the car when it felt as if a I hit something in the road (although no eveiden of.) Car pullled hard to right and into ditch. Totaled. Tow truck operater thinks the spindle broke loose? I'm sure I'll be fighting insurance, dealer and maybe Nissan. Any thoughts would be greatly appricaited.
Thanks,
Chris

First time I hear about someone loosing control like that...How fast were you going??? Did you at least attempt to stop??? If it is maintenance related, the dealer might be at fault...did you get a warranty???Good luck.

95 Max wheel welded???

I took the wheel to a body repair shop to take them take a look at wheel. Direvers side rear. It had broke off at the spindle / axel about 5 inches from the hub. There was a weld at the break. It wasn't straight, looked like a "sloppy" weld and lookded to the body shop people as something done as a repaire. They also said that they have no way of knowing if it is part of the normal wheel / spindle manufacture or a repair though as their manules weren't deatialed enough. A visit to Nissan is next. Any experts have an opinion?
