well here it is:

I took the stock speaker pods and cut a hole to fit the 6 1/2s. i tried to put the door panel on and it appears as the speaker is hitting the panel keeping it from going into place. for those of you that have installed larger speakers, how did you get them to fit? im going to try to sand down some plastic to see if it'll fit.

The door panel has little plastic things in the interior, cut them off and try to make the speakers flat to the pods
they should fit.

you need to make the plate to mount the speaker...

as small as possible.. i used condensed carboard.. the the door panel should fit on right.....

I put in 4x6

a little bigger then the stock 3 inch...and it worked. I cut a hole in the BOSE speaker pods, then screwed the speaker in. Maybe the speaker DOES fit and you're just havign a problem putting the door back on? the doors a *****, get the handle on first, then the lock, then line it up at the window sil...I remember a lot of room between the pod and the door so I don't see how you're having a problem there.

Well, I shaved down the door pod a lil, and now it fits like a charm, it sounds great too. I kinda f'ed up a part of my window tint, but it's no big deal. i'll have pics soon.
