Ok, I just want to make sure before I do this, that it will work out. I am planning on purchasing Koni Strut Inserts made for the 4th gens and putting them into my 5th gen on all four corners. So far so good? At the same time, I plan on putting Sprint Springs on too, they do make these for 5th gens right? I searched and found out how to do it but not if they were made for 5th gens. Ok. So far so good right. I will now have Koni Struts and Sprint Springs on my 2001 Maxima and everyhting will be all good right? This is my first major expense for the car and I wanna make sure I do it right. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELPFUL RESPONSES!

Yo Moe. I hope your not just jumping into this blind. I mean I hope you at least contacted a dealer like Courtesy Nissan and asked them if the p/ns for the 4 & 5-gen springs were the same. I could see how the strut p/ns could be different but still work though. But again, your probably not getting a reply becuase I don't think anyone has done it yet. And to me, the $600+ your gonna spend is alot just for blind chance. If it works though, it will make for great research for the 5-geners though. Best of luck.

What is the p/ns? Cause when I call this will sound better if it sounds like I know what I'm talking about.

Ok, Sprintspring.com has the springs for the 2000 and up for $309 and Cattman.com has Konis for the 1995-2001 for $495. So they all match up and it should work right? Or, am I missing something. Thanks guys.

I think

.... I think you'd do better if you called and said "hey I'm trying to put these onto a 5th gen, do you know anything about that?" .. You might get someone who knows what they're talking about (slim chance but ya never know ..) I don't see why you couldn't do what your talking about, but then again, I don't know a lot of 5th gener's (can't think of any off the top of my head) with a lot of suspension upgrades. Hopefully one of em will read this and reassure you what you're trying *can* be done. Give cattman a call and see what they think, some of their reps were pretty good on the phone to me. If not, email him directly. Hope ya get it working
