if i go from my 235 40 18's to 215 55 16's for the winter

i was wondering if i went from my 18's that have 235 40 18 on them to my new winter rims and tires which are steel 16's with 215 55 16 do i have to get a 4 wheel alignment?---thank u for ur responses

did you do the alignment when you put the 18's on? I would say don't do it.

I have the same size for winter tire but 17" for summer, I would say you better have to realign the car so you winter tire will wear normally. I have been doing this for 5 years and believe me or not I'm doing my 5th winter with the same set of winter tire, I've did 3 year with my 2k1 and 2 year with my 98.

Overall diameter is only changing by 1/10th of an inch. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're due for an alignment anyway.
